Nan Kee - A New Father!

This morning during the barefoot doctors’ Case Presentation hour, Nan Kee, one of our barefoot doctors, shared exciting news with the class about the new arrival in his family. Here is a brief summary from Dr. Bruce of what Nan Kee shared.

Frontier Labourers for Christ

This is Nan Kee, one of our Barefoot Doctor students from Chin State, Myanmar (Burma). He is a medical - evangelist and serves in a very remote area of Burma.

He got married 4 years ago. They have been trying to have a baby since getting married, without success. While at the Barefoot Doctor school last year, he learned about women’s health. He must have listened closely in the lectures because his wife became pregnant soon after he returned home.

She was due to deliver last week and Nan Kee while he was here at the Barefoot doctor school. Today was a day of celebration for all of us as Nan Kee gave us word and showed us pictures of his new baby. 

I admire his being here with us and his commitment to his medical education and I’m also thankful for his wife’s understanding. Pray for Nan Kee, his wife, and his new baby girl – for health and a future led by the Holy Spirit as he walks with Christ.
