Another topic this week was Pregnancy.
Students were very interested in the topic of pregnancy as Betty discussed normal pregnancy and possible associated complications. Students asked many relevant questions and were very involved in the discussion.
Betty emphasized the importance of the role of the village health workers in helping ensure the health and well-being of pregnant women in their villages.
In a different session, Betty continued teaching more about warning signs that the students need to watch for with pregnant mothers. These include warning signs such as high blood pressure, protein in the urine, persistent severe headaches, dizziness, vision disturbances, and upper abdominal pain that could alarm them as a sign of eclampsia.
The management of high risk pregnancies was discussed.
Betty receiving a token of appreciation from Nin Mang, a barefoot doctor.
Thank you for your prayers for our students and the instructors.
